About Costa Blanca

The Costa Blanca is one of Europe's most popular holiday destinations offering fantastic white sandy beaches lapped by sparkling blue waters plus a superb road and rail network. Here spring comes early and the warm autumn days linger through November, so it is easy to see why people return year after year. Whether you choose to visit theme parks, nature reserves, enchanting caves, mountain top fortresses or explore inland through timeless villages, fragrant citrus groves and vineyards, the Costa Blanca truly has something for everyone.

The area is rich in history dating back more than 3000 years with the Romans leaving their mark and centuries later the Moors and Christians battles have shaped much of the architecture, culture and tradition along the coast.

The Fiestas celebrating the Arab conquest of the area are re-enacted today with colourful costumes, singing and dancing take place in all towns at various times throughout the year. The city of Valencia, the 4th largest in Spain is the cultural and political capital of the area, magnificent architecture, museums and cool leafy squares added to the superb shopping make this a must visit city.

Calpe Beach, just 10 minutes by car, is well-known for its fishing port where you can find an array of good fish restaurants and Benidorm, renowned for its night-life and Terra Mitica Aqualandia Water Park and Wild Life Park in 30 minutes away.

Villages Jalon, Alcalai and Parcent are easily reached with between a 5 and 10 minute drive all offering good Spanish restaurants and cafe bars. On Saturdays Jalon has a large market where people come from all over to visit and has a large supermarket.
